I did a quick cover of Kraid from the ever so fantastic Metroid soundtrack a couple of months ago. Original by Hirokazu “Hip” Tanaka.
You can download it in mp3 format here or on 8BitCollective.

Linde and I made a tune together again!
It’s called Lizard Monarchy, and it’s a tribute to the king of doskpop, using mostly his samples.
Get the original 8 channel .xm module here: http://randomizer.se/tunes/modules/lizardmonarchy.xm
Or an mp3 over at 8bc: http://www.8bitcollective.com/music/Random/Random+%2526+boomlinde+-+Lizard+Monarchy/

I’m studying grammar and felt like making a chiptune about it. It’s SUPER CHEESY SWEDEN GAY STYLE CHIPTUNE POP – LISTEN WITH CAUTION!

About a month ago I wrote about the 2 Channel Compilation released on CalmDownKidder Records. Now it’s time for the 1 Channel Compilation! Again, this compilation has been organized by little-scale from Australia, but features songs from a bunch or artists such as Crazy Q, Jellica, J. Arthur Keenes and Nestroyer just to name a few. I also submitted a track called “Single Espresso” (though, it has been mispelled to “Esspresso” in the actual comp). It’s a .xm module using only one channel, one-cycle waveform samples and one snare drum sample. 8 bit monophonic chiptune pop in stereo!

Linde and I made a song together! It’s a super cheesy 10 channel .xm module.

Update:I uploaded the song as mp3 on 8BitCollective. Grab it here.
Original .xm can be found here.
little-scale from Australia started an open-for-all compilation, where anyone could submit a using only two channels. I submitted a track I made using MilkyTracker.
I’ve uploaded a new Game Boy-song and two junky XM-modules. The Game Boy song is called Reducerad, and was originally made for my upcoming 8bp EP, but I’ve decided it doesn’t quite make the cut. Get it here (randomizer.se) or here (8bc.org).
I’ve also made a little re-organization in /tunes. Now there a separate folder for each different formats. The modules folder, where I’ve uploaded two fairly new, small loopy tunes, now have a subfolder for “old” songs I did between 2003-2004.
The FM folder is now browsable (it was previously private), but there’s only one little test tune I did in January there so far… More things to come though!
I got a message on Myspace from AnalogMoz, who asked about the closed-for-public modules folder in randomizer.se/tunes. To be honest I didn’t even know there were such a folder in there. Now I have however opened it for public, and uploaded a few old modules of mine. They are from the very beginning of my music career (late 2003/early 2004), when I was just starting out with chipmusic, but still hadn’t found LSDJ and Game Boy-music. So don’t expect anything but charm from these small attempts!
Here’s a direct link to the modules folder: randomizer.se/tunes/modules
Oh, and, for those who don’t know how to play these modules, go to un4seen.com and download XMPlay if you’re using Windows, or to CocoModX and download the player there if you’re using OSX.
